    Why Why WHY MD5 for passwords… USE PASSWORD_HASH! Its 2017…

    • Tamil Selvan

      Hey Man where us used here MD5??

      • Manish B

        ‘user_password’=>md5($this->input->post(‘user_password’)), see the md5 after ‘user_password’=> ???

      Agree with Callum, MD5() is not recommended in hashing passwords, it’s also noted on the php.net documentation.

      “It is not recommended to use this function to secure passwords, due to the fast nature of this hashing algorithm. See the Password Hashing FAQ for details and best practices.”

      recomment using password_hash() and password_verify() for hashing passwords, full documentation can be found below.

        try to change base_url to site_url from all views

    • Tamil Selvan

      I think there is no route for user/regitser_user and user/login-view links. I think that is a problem for that. Try to find a solution throught routing uris.

      it’s because of spelling mistake correct in controller ‘User.php’ change ‘regiter_user()’ to ‘register_user()’
